Successful Surgery and Smooth Recovery

Poppy has had the surgery to amputate her leg. You will all be glad to hear it has gone well with both her anaesthetic and recovery smooth and uneventful. There will be some photos coming soon of her just before and just after her operation. Unfortunately the vet who amputated her leg was a little shy and wasn't keen to appear but never mind we dont want him stealing the spotlight from our special stray.
She recovered so well by 5pm she walked outside to relieve herself and decided to try and run off down the drive until stopped by two rather overprotective vet nurses. Once safely back in her kennel she polished off her dinner and settled down for the night as though nothing had happened.
We would like to thank vet Jenny and her fiancé for their present to Poppy of a stunning red padded ancol harness with reflective stitching (http://www.ardentpets.co.uk/dogs/ancol-padded-dog-harness-nylon/prod_73.html).
You can see her modelling it in most of the videos and photos!
